Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26 1991) is better known under her stage title Ari Lennox is an American musician and singer of Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist affiliated with J. Cole's record label Dreamville Records. Her first EP, Pho in October 21st, 2016, was released via Dreamville Records. Her career began to grow in notoriety. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album, debuted on the 7th of May, 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading music to the Internet in 2012, when she released her debut mixtape Five Finger Discount, and her debut EP Ariography in 2013. In 2014 she continued to upload her music via the web, including her own released single Bound. In 2015she sung on Omen's Elephant Eyes Album in the track "Sweat It Out" on July 21. J. Cole asked her to work with him on Rihanna's remark. Then, later in the season, the music was circulating through Dreamville. She was officially signed to Dreamville Records on 8 December. The singer appeared in the album collaboration Revenge of the Dreamers II which featured the track Backseat alongside Cozz. She released Pho, her debut EP, on October 21st, 2016. Ari Lennox then appeared as the opening performance for J. Cole on his song Change in 2017 and also was a part of the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour. In 2018, she opted to perform as a guest artist on two of her songs along with labelmates EarthGang with Nothing but the Best and Bas on Icarus. The debut album of Ari Lennox Shea Butter Baby was released on the 16th of July, 2018. The debut single, Whipped Cream The album's first single, Whipped Cream was released on October 5, 2018, with the music video. The 9th of November saw her release two more singles called 40 Shades of Choke and Grampa. In November, 13, she released two additional singles, titled No One and Pdigree. Then she appeared as a guest on the Creed II soundtrack with Cole on the track Shea Butter Baby on November 16th. She released the single on February 26, 2019, for her debut album the same name. The 20th of February, 2019 an official music video made available for the song. It's already received over three million viewers on YouTube in its first week. In December of 2018 the singer was a part of her From East Atlanta With Love Tour featuring 6LACK.
